Privacy Policy

Last Updated: May 5, 2026

1. Our Privacy Philosophy

Tapssh was built on the principle of Zero-Knowledge. We believe that your server infrastructure is your business, not ours. Our business model is based on providing a premium tool, not on selling or analyzing your data.

2. Data We NEVER Collect

We do not have access to, nor do we ever collect, the following information:

  • Your Private SSH Keys (.pem, .key, etc.)
  • Your Server Passwords
  • The commands you run in your terminal
  • The files you browse via SFTP

3. Data We Collect

To provide our services, we collect a minimal amount of data:

  • Cloud Sync Metadata: If you choose to use Cloud Sync, we store server labels, hostnames, and usernames in an encrypted database (Supabase) so you can access them across your devices.
  • Analytics & Crash Logs: We use anonymized telemetry to identify bugs and improve performance. This does not include your personal information or server details.
  • Subscription Status: If you subscribe to Tapssh Pro, we receive your subscription status (active, expired, or trial) from Apple to unlock premium features. We do not receive or store your payment information — all billing is processed securely by Apple.

4. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal

Tapssh Pro is an auto-renewable annual subscription priced at $29.99/year (USD, may vary by region). Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device. Cancellation takes effect after the current billing period ends. You will retain access to Pro features until the end of the paid period.

Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Security of Data

Any data that is synced to the cloud is protected by industry-standard encryption. However, the most sensitive data (your keys) never leaves your device and is protected by Apple's hardware-level Secure Enclave.
